Dear Member,

Details are now to hand surrounding what our Club will look like after re-opening this coming Monday 11th October 2021, it has been confirmed that there will be a Public Health Order around vaccination status and Club entry.

We again stress that in order to reopen we are required to follow all rules & regulations as per the NSW Government and Public Health Order advice to ensure the safety of you, your families, our staff and the broader community.

The NSW Public Health Order advises us that entry to all NSW Club premises will only be for patrons, staff and contactors who can produce appropriate paperwork outlining that they are fully vaccinated or medically exempt from the Covid19 vaccination at the time of entry.

We kindly ask that you review the following information, be prepared before arriving and respectfully cooperate with our staff at the Club entrance.

Please note in an attempt to minimise any documentation falsification our team may routinely ask for a secondary ID / Membership source to verify all paperwork is in line.

While we understand that you may frequent the Club regularly please understand that it is a health order policy that we require to verify documentation on every visit. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that our entry procedures may cause.

  1. You must show proof of vaccination open entering the Club.
  2. Covid Check-In
    a) Scan the Service NSW Covid QR code using your phone
    b) If you don't have a compatible phone, you may register for a Covid Card via the Service NSW website. You can print your unique QR code and bring with you to check- in until your card arrives.
  3. Once you have checked in using the QR code please show a staff member the green tick.

Can I come to the club if I’ve only had one vaccine dose?
The NSW Government has announced that only people who have received both doses of the vaccine can come to the club the Monday after NSW reaches the 70 per cent double-dose milestone.
How can I get proof in hard copy?

  • You can ask your vaccination provider to print your immunisation history statement.
  • You can also call the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 and ask them to send your statement to you. It can take up to 14 days to arrive in the post.

What if I can’t get vaccinated?
Subject to the legislation which mandates vaccinations, people who can’t be vaccinated may be permitted to enter the club if they obtain a “contraindication certificate” in the approved form (which can be found here). Please consult your medical practitioner for further information. It is likely that we will only be permitted to accept a medical exemption in the approved form.
How can I prove to the club that I’m fully vaccinated or medically exempt?
You can show our staff proof of vaccination:

  • Open your Express Plus Medicare mobile app, click “Immunisation history” and then click “View COVID-19 digital certificate”
  • Access our COVID-19 digital certificate in your Apple Wallet or Google Pay
  • Present a hard copy of your immunisation history statement
  • Present a hard copy of a medical exemption (contraindication certificate) in the approved form completed by a medical practitioner.

We kindly ask that you have this information ready before you arrive at the club, to prevent crowding.
How will the club know my proof of vaccine or medical exemption is authentic?
At our discretion, we may attempt to verify that your “proof of vaccine” is authentic. We remind you that it is a federal offence to falsify this information.

Membership Extended

On behalf of the Board of Directors I am pleased to announce to all our members that their membership has been extended by 12 months so that there will be no members renewals due on 30th June 2021. Ettalong Diggers sees this as being one way that we can give back to our members following these lockdowns due to COVID-19.

Annual General Meeting Rescheduled

The Directors and Management were disappointed with the digital section of last years Annual General Meeting (AGM) and have therefore decided to postpone the AGM from the scheduled 30th October 2021 to the 30th January 2022, this will be a Sunday at 4.00pm. It is hoped this Meeting will be a Face to Face (in person) style meeting. This postponement is in line with the approvals being advised by ASIC. We will endeavour to have the normal Notice of Meeting along with a schedule of dates and the Annual Financial Accounts on the Clubs Web Site on or before 31st October 2021.
